Oasis Project

About every six months, Blazing Star Oasis has a new Oasis Project. During each six months, the current Oasis Project becomes the goal that the local membership focuses on achieving. The Oasis Projects are centered around important goals that require the help of everyone possible.

For the period of 30 September 2012 e.v. – 30 March 2013 e.v., the current Oasis Project is:

FINANCIAL SELF-SUFFICIENCY

The purpose of this project involves getting individuals who are willing and able to sign up for the new Local Dues Program in order to help achieve financial self-sufficiency for Blazing Star Oasis. 

Although we are a non-profit organization, the operation of this Oasis requires a lot of money to run smoothly. We count on your generous help to keep this Oasis running. To pay the rent on the beautiful Bay Area Thelemic Temple, we currently need about $600 per month.

While donations at events are always welcome, it helps us greatly to know we have a regular, dependable source of income through the various levels of the Local Dues Program.

At the current local dues rate of $10/mo. for Allies, $15/mo. for Affiliates, and $25/mo. for Members, it will take:

• ~24 full Members, or 
• ~15 full Members and ~15 Affiliates, or 
• ~12 full Members, ~12 Affiliates, and ~12 Allies

We therefore encourage you to sign up for the Local Dues Program, or – if you have already signed up yourself – encouraging other attendees of events (who are already probably donating more than enough at classes and Gnostic Masses) to formally sign up for the Local Dues Program and help us achieve our goal.
